Erika Wysong

Erika Fregoso Wysong primarily focuses on marketing, advertising and entertainment consulting. Previously, she was the General Manager of the Shreveport Convention Center and Municipal Auditorium for ASM Global. The Convention Center brought in over $77 million dollars to the local economy over the last five years when she was GM, Assistant GM and Director of Sales. As the exclusive booking agent, the iconic Municipal Auditorium hosted more events the last few years than ever before including Jerry Seinfeld, Cole Swindell, Kevin Hart, Bob Dylan, Luke Combs, Tyler Perry, Harry Connick Jr. and Diana Ross to name a few. Wysong earned a BA in Communications and Public Relations from LSU-Shreveport. She then went on to work in sales, marketing and public relations for Harrah’s/Horseshoe Gaming for 15 years and then worked for SMG/ASM Global for 11 years.

Scott Wysong has conducted over 100 research studies for brands in sports, entertainment, tourism and many other industries. Dr. Wysong holds a MBA and Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University. In addition to his role at Wysong Brand Solutions, he is an Associate Professor of Marketing and the MBA Program Director in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas. His research has been published in a number of academic journals and he has written a book entitled, Attack Dog Marketing. Dr. Wysong has been active in the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) for 22 years, assisting their Academy for Venue Safety and Security for the last seven years. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Shreveport and serves on the board of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.
